Free home safety assessment

Is the in-home safety assessment really free?

Yes. The in-home assessment is $0, with no obligation to continue. Safe In Place visits the home at no charge. If the family wants work done, a licensed, vetted local contractor writes the quote, and that written quote sets the price.

What happens at the assessment, and what gets looked at?

Someone comes to the home and looks at what is getting harder: the bathroom, shower or tub entry, stairs, and entrances. The visit follows the person and the home. The assessment is free.

Who comes, and who does the work?

Safe In Place guides the assessment and the project plan, then connects the family with a licensed, vetted local contractor. That contractor quotes the work, writes the contract, and performs the installation.

What happens after the assessment?

A written quote comes within about two days. The written quote sets the price. The family decides whether to move forward, with no obligation. Most jobs are installed within about a week of the assessment by that licensed, vetted local contractor.

Where is the free home safety assessment available?

Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties in South Florida only. Se habla español. A real person answers (786) 755-1120, 9am–8pm, 7 days a week.

Can an adult child set up the assessment for a parent?

Yes. An adult child can start the free assessment for a parent by calling (786) 755-1120 or using the ZIP form on this page. The visit is at the parent's home.
